RE: Admission Inquiries
Greetings: Thank you for your interest in admission to St. Ignatius School for fall 2021-22. We are basing enrollment on safe social distancing numbers this year.
RE-OPENING PLAN: If schools are open, our intention is to open a full program on a regular schedule for every student, including music, PE, library, technology and art. We do not have plans for a hybrid or staggered program. Our building is being assessed for specific classroom capacity to enable us to run this program with effective social distancing and optimum safety. As soon as we have these numbers established, we will know what our class sizes can safely be and if there is room for additional students.
TIMELINE: These numbers should be determined by the third week of July. Our intent is to follow up during the last week of July. At that time, I will begin reaching out to families who have applied on a first come, first served basis. As we are not certain of space, we are not currently charging the $30 admission fee. Should a spot become available and you wish to proceed in the process, we will ask you to pay the fee at that time.
PROCESS: I encourage you to make full use of our website at www.sispdx.org for current information. The application is there, along with current tuition schedule and details on faith, service, community and academics. Our process prioritizes siblings of current students, St. Ignatius parishioners and Catholic families applying from other parishes. Once your application is complete, I will reach out to answer any questions and confirm you would like to proceed. Students will do a short academic assessment and be interviewed by myself or a teacher prior to admission.
TUITION ASSISTANCE: We still have some tuition assistance available. Please apply to FACTS online. Additional tuition assistance grants will be determined on a first come, first served basis. Awards are made when students enroll.
Thank you for your interest in St. Ignatius School. Your patience during this challenging time is appreciated as we do our very best to serve our community.
